The difference between RTF and DOC extension files:
RTF and DOC are word processing applications both were developed by Microsoft.
DOC:
- It allows you to change the format of the document in which way you want it to display.
- The file size of the Doc file is big because it has the number of formatting and options that you include in the file.
- You cannot encode the Doc file as text and cannot see the data without correct application.
RTF:
- It gives the options to format your file like font sizes, italics, bold and types.
- The file size of the RTF file is small because of the least formatting options. It is one of the major differences between these files.
- It contains more keywords for the formatting because of encoding the RTF file as text. You can view these files with any text editor.
