Feeding on dead organisms is known as saprophytic nutrition.

some plants live on other organisms and obtain their food from them this kind of Nutrition is called parasitic nutrition. ifif you plan to draw the complete nutrition from other plants harming them in the process these are called parasites and the nutrition is called as parasitic nutrition
