The difference between the unsaturated and saturated compounds are:

Unsaturated Compounds:

Unsaturated compounds are those which contain both double bond and triple bond. The carbon in saturated compounds is of sp, and sp^{2} hybridization. It can form resonance hence, it is more Stable than saturated compounds. It can easily react with water, halides.

Saturated Compounds:

Saturated compounds contain only a single bond. The compound is \mathrm{sp}^{3} hybridization. It is relatively unreactive. It is stable to water and halides.
