¤¤ HYDROCARBONS ¤¤

▪▪ Saturated Hydrocarbons

▪▪ Unsaturated Hydrocarbons.

☆☆ SATURATED HYDROCARBONS ☆☆

¤¤ Here, Single bond between carbon atoms.

¤¤ ➖C➖C➖

¤¤ E.g. •• Alkanes
•• Its general formula is C[n] H[2n+2].

☆☆ UNSATURATED HYDROCARBONS ☆☆

¤¤ Here, Double Bond or Triple Bond between carbon atoms.

¤¤ ➖C⚌C➖ OR ➖C☰C➖

¤¤ E.g. ( I. ) Alkenes [ general formula = CnH2n]

( II. ) Alkynes { general formula = C[n]H[2n-2] }.
