What is the difference between scalar and vector quantity?

scalar quantity :- scalar quantity has magnitude but no direction .
vector quantity :- vector quantity has both magnitude and direction

the quantities which are described by only magnitude and not direction , also does not follows the vector laws of addition are called scalar quantities.
the quantities which are described by both magnitude and direction and also follows the vector laws of addition are called vector quantities.
