The main difference between these two is that a plotter is a device that draws pictures on the page with the help of commands given through a computer. On the other hand, a printer is a device that brings images and texts on the page with the help of commands given through a network.

an input device in which an information in the form of text or image is entered into computer and is then transformed into digital file, thus the computer will read or display the scanned object..

ploter

An output device which is used to produce precise and good quality graphics and drawing under control of the computer. They use ink pen or inkjet to draw graphics or drawing.
