What is the difference between serial killer and physco killer.​

One (serial killer) is a designation created by law enforcement to classify a particular type of criminal that kills repeatedly and usually has a definable pattern and profile.

The other (psychopathy) is a personality disorder caused (to the best of our current knowledge) by a genetic anomaly that affects brain anatomy causing an atrophied amygdala and lowered activity in the emotion centers of the brain.

There can be overlap (some serial killers are psychopaths, but not all) but they are distinct both conceptually and in their intended purpose as labels.
