In sexual reproduction, the gametes of both the parents, that is, the male and the female gametes are involved. Whereas in asexual reproduction, only one parent is involved and it is done through various means for instance budding and binary fission.

ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION:

1. one parents is involved.
2. new generation is identical or true copy of their parents.
3. it doesn't require the formation of gametes.
4. special organs for reproduction are not required.
5. example - rose, potatoes etc.

SEXUAL REPRODUCTION:

1. two parents are involved.
2. new born are similar to their parents.
3. it required the formation of gametes.
4. special organs for reproduction are required.
5. example - mangoes, coconut etc.
