what is the difference between sharp melting point and fixed melting point?

1. Sharp melting point means that the crystal will transition from solid state to liquid state at a fixed value of temperature. It won't go over a range of temperature, but a fixed value, neither a degree less nor a degree more.

2. Fixed melting point means that the temperature at which a solid melts.
