Difference between sheep station and paddock:

  • A sheep station is a large station or ranch whose main activity is to rear sheep for their wool and meat whereas a paddock is a small field of grassland, especially for horses or it might be a field of grassland independent of size, specially for keeping cattle or sheep.
  • The area where horses are paraded are mounted 'before a race' and unsaddled 'after a race'.
  • In Australia and New Zealand, paddock is often considered as an empty field which is enclosed where grasses are grown and animals are reared.
