short circuiting happens when the insulation of the wires wears out and the live wire touches the neutral wire. This causes a large amount of electricity to pass hence the fuse breaks.

over loading happens when a lot of appliances are connected to a single port. hence causing a large amount of electricity to pass. hence causing the fuse t break.

plz mark as best.
