Sn1 mechanism are the reactions in which the rate of reaction of reaction depends on conc of only one of the reactants i e alkyl halides. tertiary  alkyl halides  follows Sn1 mechanism.

Sn2 mechanism are the reactions in which the rate of reaction of reaction depends on  both conc  of the reactants i.e alkyl halides and nucleophile.

All  primary alkyl halides Sn2 mechanism.

SN1 reaction :-

Substrate affect the rate of reaction.

It involve only 1 Step.

Two intermediate state is there.

Weak nucleuophile.

Carbocation stability.

For completing reaction elimination, rearrangement.

SN2 reaction :-

Substrate and necluophile affect the rate of reaction.

It involve only 2 Step.

One intermediate state is there.

Strong nucleuophile.

Steric hindrance.

For completing reaction elimination.
