Objects which are hard or firm and have a clear shape are called solids. The molecules in solids are closely packed together are called solids. The force of attraction between the molecules is less than that of solids.Liquids do not have a definite shape.Liquids have a definite volume. This is called a liquid.Substances which are in an air like form that is neither solid nor liquid are called gases. There is very little force of attraction between the molecules of a gas. This is called a gas.
