solid sodium chloride does not conduct electricity while sodium chloride solution conduct electricity.

Solid Sodium chloride means the Sodium chloride compound which is in solid state. The common table salt we are consuming everyday is Sodium chloride in solid state (which is in crystal form).
Solution of sodium chloride means Sodium chloride dissolved in water.
