For instance, you must describe an object'svelocity as being 55 mi/hr, east. This is one of the essential differences between speed and velocity. Speed is a scalar quantity and does not keep track of direction; velocity is a vector quantity and is direction aware.

hey user !!!

Speed :- The distance covered by a body or object per unit time is called speed of an object..

SPEED = total distance ÷ time.
Its SI unit is m/s ( meter per/ second )

VELOCITY::-
The magnitude of velocity refers to the total distance covered by an object per unit time in a particular direction..

FOR example,,suppose an object is moving with uniform velocity of 5m/s..

Their fore in the above example ,, the direction with which that object is moving is same.

The unit of velocity is M/S

hope it helps u
Plz mark it as brainliest.
THANKS A LOT..
