what is the difference between subsistence farming and intensive farming? ​

So, Subsistance farming is done for the famer's own needs. Hence, there is less input of capital, modern machinery and fertilisers, pesticides,etc.

But, Intensive farming is done for market and on limited land. Hence, more capital is invested, use of modern machinery and chemical fertilisers is often seen to increase the productivity of land.
