Answer:

The main difference between the two rain forests is that tropical rain forests are located near the equator between the Tropics of cancer and Capricorn. The temperate rain forests are located to the north of the Tropic of Cancer and to the south of the Tropic of Capricorn.

The tropical rain forest is hotter with a average of between 70-90 degrees Fahrenheit, while in the temperate rain forest temperatures rarely fall below freezing and typically range no higher then 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Also the tropical rain forest gets up to 400 inches of rain per year, while the temperate rain forest get only 140 to 167 inches of rain per year.

I hope this helps!  : )
