The difference between temporary changes and permanent changes is as follows:
- Temporary changes are the changes that remain for a short period and hence, they are generally reversible. On the other hand, the permanent changes remain for a longer period and hence, they are generally irreversible.
- Generally, the physical properties of undergoing substances are changed in temporary changes while in permanent changes, the chemical reactions take place which changes the internal structure of undergoing substances.
- Examples of temporary changes are- boiling of water, melting of wax etc. Examples of permanent changes include- growth of living beings, burning of fossil fuels etc.
