Instrumental and terminal values:
The instrumental values are specific methods, moral or behavior that one adopt to reach their goal. Some of the attributes of instrumental values include logical, loving, courageous, independent, etc. It is adhering to this value that helps one realize the end goals.
The terminal value, however, describes the end goals. These are the goals that each person may want to achieve in a lifetime and they will obviously vary from person to person. The examples include fame, social recognition, wealth, etc.
