A source is a place or person from which you can obtain something useful or valuable.
A resource is something that can be used to perform some function.
The computer store is a source from which I can buy a laptop.
Once I have the laptop, it is a resource.
Another example would be paint brushes when you are painting a picture. They are a resource, not a source.

Source means the origin, root cause of something. Where as Resource is something that is readily available to use.

In other way I can say, Resources are the things that we use and Source is the place where we get these things from.

For example;

Water is the source of energy. Water resources are used for irrigation.

Father is the source of income for a family. People are the resources of the company.

Hope it helped.

Happy time ahead.
