What is the difference between the chemical formula of Ferrous sulphate crystals and Ferrous sulphate solution ?

In Ferrous Sulphate crystals water of crystallization is present whereas in Ferrous Sulphate solution only Ferrous Sulphate is present

  • Ferrous Sulphate Crystals = FeSO4 . 7 H20
  • Ferrous Sulphate Solution = FeSO4

On heating, ferrous sulphate crystals lose water and anhydrous ferrous sulphate (FeSO4) is formed. So their colour changes from light green to white.
