What is the difference between the chemical nature of an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride and an aqueous solution of ammonia??

Aqueous solution of HCl is acidic in nature. It is nothing but hydrochloric acid. It can turn blue litmus to red.
Aqueous solution of NH3 is basic in nature. It exists as ammonium hydroxide. It can turn red litmus to blue.
