question
answere:
Displacement;
Displacement reaction is a redox reaction since in this reaction change of oxidation state on certain atom takes place .for example

Fe + CuSO4 - FeSO4 + Cu

The ionic equation for this reaction is

Fe + Cu2+ -- Fe2+ + Cu

Double displacement reactions are not redox reaction since these is no change in the oxidation numbers of the reacting speices.In this reaction only exchange of ions takes place. Example :
AgNO3 + NaCL -- AgCL + NaNO3

Displacement reaction - in this reaction , iron has displaced or removed another element,copper from copper sulphate solution. this reaction is known as displacement reaction.
Fe(s) + CuSo4(aq) becomes to FeSo4(aq)+Cu(s

Double displacement reaction- such a reaction in which threre is an exchange of ions between the reaction are called double displacement reaction.
Na2So4 (aq)+BaCl2 (aq ) becomes to BaSo4 (S)2NaCl (aq)
hope it helps you.....
