1

solid has packed particle with maximum force of attraction and least inter mollecular spaces and they have fixed volume and shape both where as gas have loose particle with least forces of attraction and maximum intermollecular spaces.

physical and chemical change

physical change are reversible change which means that the previous substance can be brought back and there is only change in shape volume or state . Chemical change are irreversible which means the substance with which change has happened cannot be brought back. There is change in chemical compostion of substance.

Explanation:

  • Solid and gas
  1. Solids have less intermolecular spaces while gases have more
  2. solids have strong intermolecular force of attraction
  3. solids have fixed mass and volume while gases do not

  • Reversible changes and irreversible
  1. Reversible changes are those which can be reversed, irreversible are those which cannot be reversed
  2. Reversible changes are mainly chemical changes ,while irreversible are mainly physical
  3. Mostly new product is formed in irreversible change while, no new product is formed in reversible change

  • Physical and chemical
  1. Physical changes are mainly reversible, chemical changes are mainly irreversible
  2. physical changes do not form a new product, while chemical change forms a new product
