Lapiés, are  weathered limestone available  in karst regions and comprise of , fluted, and pitted rock pinnacles with big and  deep grooves.

This rugged surface is formed by the process of leaching formed  along joints and areas of greater solubility by water containing carbonic along with hemic acids.

Doliane are typically multi coloured jem like limestone. The deposit of Dalian is shown above.
