To Find :  difference between the mean and the median of the given data

Solution:

Arranging data in Order

2   5   8  9   9   11   12   15    19   21

there are 10 Data points

Hence median will be mean of 5th & 6th data

(9 + 11)/2 = 10

Mean of Data = ( 2 + 5  + 8 + 9 +  9 +  11  + 12 +  15  +  19 +  21)/10

= 111/10

= 11.1

difference between the mean and the median = 11.1 - 10

= 1.1
