What is the difference between the national parties and regional party​

Regional Party:

Meaning: Regional party refers to a political party, which has its base in a particular region and has limited objectives.

Symbol: It can be changed and repeated in other state.

Influences: Particular region only.

Strength: It should be strong enough in at least one or two states.

Aim: To promote regional interest.

National Party:

Meaning: National party implies a political party that extends over the entire nation, in terms of area of influence.

Symbol: It has a permanent symbol that cannot be repeated.

Influences: Entire Country

Strength: It should be strong enough in at least four states.

Aim: To resolve national and international issues.

National party

A registered party is recognised as a national party only if it fulfils any one of the three conditions listed below: A party should win 2% of seats in the Lok sabha from at least three different states. ... A party gets recognition as a state party in four states.

regional parties

regionalist political parties. ...
