Nervous tissue : Nervous system is made up of Nervous tissue and in sending messages , tissue also help.


Nervous system : it send messages and connect to brain and it is made up of million of Nervous tissue.

NERVOUS SYSTEM - It is made up of collection of neurons, glail cells, ventricles, blood vessels etc. Nervous system works to make us feel, move, interact with endocrine (hormonal) system etc. Each system can be made up sub system. Nervous system is made up of visual system, auditory system, motor system, vestibular system, olfactory system etc. You can break up a system and study each subsystem as a "whole system" by itself. The animal has to be alive for the system to work.

NERVOUS TISSUE - It is the physical part of the nervous system. One can see, touch whether it is dead or alive. Brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves are tissue. However, if I take a peripheral nerve while it is still alive, stimulate it at one end, and record at the other end, now I am studying the peripheral nerve bundle as a system. The properties of the nerve bundle will be exhibited by the profile of the recording ; for example the conduction velocities of the axons contained in that bundle.
