The difference is that:
For example, if we use 6 matchsticks in one square then in two squares we will use 12 matchsticks.
The double of one square.

6 in one square and 6 in another square .

6+6=12

To find  the difference between the number of matchsticks used of one square and two squares?​

Solution:

Draw a square using matchsticks as shown in figure (a) given below,

Total number of matchstick used = 4

Draw two squares using matchsticks as shown in figure (b) given below,

Total number of matchstick used = 7

Difference =7-4

                  =3

Hence the he difference between the number of matchsticks used of one square and two squares is 3.
