what is the difference between "The old man " and "old man"?plz say​

old man is simply used to justify or point out a man whose age is above 60 it can be used with an which gives this phrase r name that is an old man

but the the second phrase named as the old man is used to point out a particular man who is old or in a story if a particular person is talked about then we can say it as the old man
