Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

= 2(12 + 4.5)

= 2(16.5)

= 33

Perimeter of isosceles triangle = side + side + side

= 13 + 13 + 4

= 26 + 4

= 30

Therefore, 33 - 30

=3

Thus, the difference is 3.

Given

Length of rectangle = 12 cm.

Breadth of rectangle = 4.5 cm

Equal sides of isosceles∆ = 13 cm.

Inequal side = 4 cm.

To find

Difference b/w perimeters of both shapes

Solution

We know that,

➥ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Putting values :

⟼ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(12 + 4.5)

⟼ Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × 16.5

Perimeter of rectangle = 33 cm.

We also know,

➥ Perimeter of ∆ = Sum of 3 sides.

Putting values :

➻ Perimeter of ∆ = 13 + 13 + 4

Perimeter of = 30 cm.

Now finding difference b/w both perimeters

➾ Difference = 33 - 30

Difference = 3 cm.

Therefore,

Difference b/w perimeters of both shapes = (A)3 cm.
