What is the difference between the process of learning a mother tongue and other languages?

Learning mother tongue starts as parents talks with their children. Learn other languages seems quite difficult as we already have our mother tongue.
But, learning other languages is fun.

Mother tongue:
We start learning with our parents ,our environment and we learn this language easily and smoothly.
Other language:
we start learning mosly with our friends and we enjoy a lot while learning....
I have experienced
