What is the difference between the rate of breathing in plants and animals ?

Animals obtain oxygen by breathing air,and plants release oxygen,as a by-product of photosynthesis. ... In plants, separate respiratory organs are absent an in animals respiratory organs are generally present .The rate of respiration is slow.The rate of respiration is fast.
