➡difference between the screw and the wedge:-

✔SCREW :- it is basically an inclined plane , wrapped or wound around a pole or something similar.
>>example-jar caps, drill bits , corkscrew... etc.

✔WEDGE :- it is also an inclined plane but double sided and used to split things apart.

The difference between the screw and the wedge are as follows -

• A wedge is much bigger than any normal screw.

• The operating tool of wedge is a hammer but the operating tool of screw is a screwdriver.

• Wedge has a plain surface but screw has a surface with ridges and grooves.

• Wedge is typically used for cutting and slicing purposes but screw is typically used for fixing and attaching purposes.
