What is the difference between the simple interest on a principal of Rs. 500 being calculated at 5% per annum for 3 years and 4% per annum for 4 years?

Time T1      = 3 years                                                   Time  T2  = 4 years

S.I =   PR1T1/100                                                     S.I 2 = PR2T2/100

S.I =  500*5*3/100                                                   S.I 2 = 500*4*4/100

S.I = 75                                                                       S.I 2  = 80

S.I = 75                                                                        S.I 2 = 80

Now difference between the   Simple interest of 2nd part and 1st part is

S.I2-S.I = 80-75 = 5
