The main difference between the two main group of national Congress of India is that INC is a centrist party in its ideological orientation, the party espouses secularism and welfare of weaker section and minorities whereas NCP espouses democracy, Gandhian secularism,equity,social justice and federalism. It wants that higher offices in govt. should be confined to natural born citizens of the country
