The difference between the x and y coordinates:

  • Scratch is usually used for determining where to display the sprites via coordinate systems. The scratch’s coordinate system has two 2 coordinates namely X and Y positions.
  • These two coordinates locates the sprite of the stage. Here the ‘X’ locates horizontal position of the sprit whereas the ‘Y’ locates vertical position of the height.
  • For the screen of \bold{480\times360} rectangle, X will be ranged from 240 to -240 and the Y will be ranged from 180 to -180.
