hi there,
thermal decomposition is the decay of a substance  due to naturally occurring  conditions.
thermal disassociation is breaking the bonds of the molecule with the influence of heat.
i hope this helps u..

Explanation:

Thermal dissociation is defined as reversible conversion of a substance into ions when heat is supplied.

For example, when ice changes into liquid by heating then it can be converted back into ice by cooling it in a freezer.

Thermal decomposition is defined as breaking of a larger substance into smaller ones with the help of heat.

For example, 2NaNO_{3}(s) \rightarrow 2NaNO_{2}(s) + O_{2}(g)
