rice :-Rice belongs to the grass species Oryza sativaand as a cereal grain; it is the most widely consumed main food for a large part of the world’s human population. It is the agricultural commodity with the third-highest global production, after sugarcane and maize. A large share of rice is grown for human consumption and thus it is the most important grain with regard to human nutrition and caloric intake, providing more than one fifth of the calories consumed worldwide by humans. Rice is cooked by boiling. During cooking water is absorbed. As a staple food, rice plays a significant role in certain religions and popular beliefs.

Rice is a khraif crop grown in rainy season whereas wheat is rabi crop grown in the winter season. Region with 62.54 to 87 cm rainfall are most suitable for wheat cultivation and out of this 10-15 cm rainfall is required when crop is in the field. Rice crop is sown in the month of July august and it requires 5 to 6 times raining Rice crop is cut in the mont of November and December. Wheat crop is sown in the month of January Feb and it requires no rain but requires 3 to 4 irrigation. Wheat crop is cut in the month of may June.
