In wind-pollinated flowers, the produced pollen grains are smaller and lighter in weight, which can be carried by the wind easily. In insect-pollinated flowers, the produced pollen grains are larger in size, sticky and spiny which helps the insect to carry the pollen grains.

Wind pollination : Due to wind, seeds fall away from the plants. Hence, new plants grow. where the seeds called.

Insect pollination : Insects suc as bees carry pollen from flower to take it to their nest. While carrying it, they drop down pollen on the ground. The area where bees gather pollen is actually a flower land. The seeds from flowers fall down on land. When pollen lands on seeds, it helps in growth of new plants.
