THIS IS YOUR ANSWER

Xylem and phloem facilitate the transportation of water, minerals and food throughout the plant. Xylem carries water and minerals from the roots to the leaves. Whereas, phloem carries the food prepared by the leaves to different parts of the plant.

Answer:

Difference between Xylem and Phloem:

Xylem carries water and mineral from roots to different parts of plants, i,e., vertically upwards. All the cells are dead except xylem parenchyma.

Phloem carries food from leaves to different parts of the plants, i.e., conducts in both directions upwards and downwards. All the cell elements are living except Phloem fibres that are dead cells.
