Single cell embryo is called as zygote.
When sperm and egg meet, they form zygote. It is implanted in womb(uterus) of mother, it divides into multicellular embryo.
In Embryological studies if you find a single cell, its Zygote. Any thing multicellular is embryo and any embryo aged more than eight weeks after conception is Fetus....

zygote is the diploid cell that results from the fertilization between an egg and sperm
and
sperm is the male reproductive cell that is responsible for a baby to born
and
