ENAMEL VS DENTIN:
The difference between Enamel and Dentin is the hardest tissue is enamel in the whole human body. The only ectodermal derivative of tooth is enamel. The inorganic constituents contains 96% of weight and its composed of calcium phosphate in hydroxyapatite crystals form. On the other hand the bulk of the tooth is dentin or dentin form the bulk of tooth. Dentin consist of dentinal tubules, which is consist of cytoplasmic processes of odontoblasts. The tubules of dentin are mainly laid in calcified matrix. The tubules walls are more calcified than tubules regions.

ENAMEL:

Other hard tissues of human body like bones, cementum, and dentin is made of hydroxyapatite as inorganic constituent. The crystals of hydroxyapatite are different from each other in shape and size, the crystals of enamel are longest and hexagonal.
DENTIN:
The bulk of the tooth is formed by dentin. It contains dentinal tubules. The tubules of dentinal consist of cytoplasmic processes of odontoblasts. The junction which is present between dentin and enamel is scalloped which gives mechanical retention to enamel. In the inner dentin different nerves are present. A pain is felt when by the loss of enamel dentin is exposed in the jaw.
MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ENAMEL AND DENTIN:
Enamel basically originates from the ectoderm of embryo on the other hand dentin basically originates from ectomesenchyme.
Enamel is 96% inorganic and 4% organic on the other hand dentin is 70% inorganic 20% organic and composed of 10% water respectively.
Enamel is the most strongest tissue while dentin is not.
