⬅Thomson's Atomic Model V/s Rutherford's Atomic Model➡
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

⏪First let me explain J.J Thomson model :-

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
♠J.J Thomson was the first to present his Atomic Model . He said that :-

♣Atom is a Big positive sphere and the Electrons are embedded in it . He related it with a water melon . Just like the seeds of the Water melon are embedded in it , he said that in the same way , electrons are embedded in an atom .

♣He also stated that electron as a whole is neutral with the positive and the negative charge cancelling each other .

♣His model was rejected as it was not much informative and couldn't explain much about atom .

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
⏪Rutherford Atomic Model :-

♠Rutherford conducted his Alpha particles scattering Experiment by using gold foil . His observations were :-

♣ The mass of an Atom is due to Protons and Neutrons . They are together known as Nucleons .

♣ The nucleus is concentrated in the centre .

♣The electrons are not stationary . They revolve around the nucleus at heavy speed .

♣They are held together by Electro static forces of attraction .

♠His model was rejected as he Couldn't Explain the Stability of The Atom !
