1. The cell wall is found in plant cells whereas cell membrane is found in animal cells. .
2. Cell wall is completely permeable whereas cell membrane is semi-permeable.
3. Cell wall is made up of cellulose and cell membrane is made up of lipids and proteins.
4. Cell membrane is covered by the cell wall which forms the outer most covering.
5. Cell wall is elastic while cell membrane is not elastic.
6. Cell wall only prevents large molecules from entering the cell, while cell membrane prevents entry of small molecules.

Hope it helps :)

the difference between cell wall and cell membrane is ....
1.) cell wall is permeable whereas cell membrane is semi permeable.
2.) cell wall is found in plant cell and cell membrane is found in animal cell
3.)cell wall exists outside the cell membrane and cell membrane exists around the protoplasm of all the living cell.
4.) cell wall is thick and cell membrane is thin.
5.) cell wall is made of pectin, lignin etc and cell membrane is made of lipoprotiens.
6.)cell membrane have receptors to receive signals from external chemical and cell wall lacks any receptors.
