what is the difference on giving a same amount of positive charge to two spheres ;one is made up of an insulating material e.g. wood and the other of a conducting material e.g. metal

insulating material doesn't acquires the positive charge you have given

and the same charge u have given to the metal

metal is a conductor we all know this

the metal which you have taken will acquires positive charge
