What is the different between the ounce and oz?

The fluid ounces and ounces tend to share the same name & both symbolize units of measurement.

Though they are considered to be the same, they are entirely different. Each thing indicates a different system of measurement that is one measures weight and another measure volume.

Ounce measures weight of dry ingredients like sugar or flour. Fluid ounces measure the volume of the liquid ingredients.
