Electrorefining is a process, used to purify a metal which is extracted from it's metal ore by means of electrolysis while Galvanisation is a process of coating of zinc layer on iron or steel, so that iron or steel do not get oxidised to form hydrated iron(III) oxides like Fe2O3, which is just called rusting of iron.

Explanation:
Using galvanization process prevention of corrosion is possible on the metal surface. Ex: Iron Bridge can be protected from rusting by galvanizing the iron using zinc protects. Electroplating: ... The cations are converted into atoms at the cathode and form a layer on it, called as electroplating.
