What is the differnce between open circuit and closed circuit. Explain with example

in open circuit current does not flow but in opeclosed circuit current flows.
for eg .if your switch is off then it is a open circuit and current does not flow.
if switch is on then it is closed circuit and current flows.

in open circuit the current cannot flow then the object will not work... in closed circuit the attraction of energy is closed so objects will work. ex... take an bulb in example..
