ANIMAL CELL

  • In animal cell the outermost layer is cell membrane
  • Nucleus in animal cell is generally present at center.
  • Cytoplasm is denser than plant cell's cytoplasm.
  • Vacuoles are absent in animal cell.
  • Plastids are also absent in animal cell.
  • Centrosome is present with either one or two centrioles.
  • Golgi apparatus is present.
  • In animal cell food is stored in form of glycogen.

PLANT CELL

  • In plant cell the outermost layer is cell wall.
  • Nucleus is slightly peripheral in plant cell which means it is not present at center.
  • Cytoplasm is less denser compared to animal cell.
  • Large vacuole is present in plant cell.
  • Plastids are also present in plant cell.
  • Centrosome is absent in plant cell.
  • Dictyosome is present instead of Golgi apparatus.
  • In plant cell food is stored in form of starch.
